Technical Support: Changing Your Anti-Spam Settings
Updated: May 12, 2004

The following article describes how to switch your personal anti-spam settings from one level to another.

Step 1. To access your account settings, go to the anti-spam control panel at http://spamtrap.nfld.com. You will see the following login screen (see Fig. 1-1):

Figure 1-1: Login

Step 2. In order to login, you must supply the same username and password that you use to check your email. Your username is the first part of your email address before the @ symbol. Example: if your email address is johndoe@nfld.com, then your username would be simply johndoe.

If you cannot remember your password, you will need to contact InterActions to supply you a new one. You can either email us at support@nfld.com or phone us at (709) 745-4638.

Step 3. Once you have logged in, you will see the following screen shown in Fig 3-1:

Figure 3-1: Select Spam-Scanning Level

From here you can select a level of spam-scanning that best suits your preference. Keep in mind that the default level is "Only tag spam messages and deliver them". Once you have selected the option that you want, press the "Set Spam-Scanning Level" button to save your settings.

Step 4. You're done! The option you have chosen will now appear in red, with "Current Setting" shown in brackets to the left. You can now log out by hitting the "Log Out" below, and from then on your email will be scanned with the setting you have chosen.

You can return to http://spamtrap.nfld.com at any time to change your settings.
